Special RCD Anniversaries
15 April - Leeuwarden Day
Observed by raising the flag of the city of Leeuwarden, Holland to commemorate its' liberation by the Regiment on 15 April 1945. A similar ceremony takes place in Leeuwarden, where they raise the Camp Flag of The Royal Canadian Dragoons.
7 November - Leliefontein Day
Commemorates the Battle of Leliefontein in South Africa, where on that date, in 1900, three Dragoons won the Victoria Cross; Lt Cockburn, Lt Turner, and Sgt Holland.
Usually observed by reunion of current and former Dragoons, including Regimental Dinners, and a Regimental Rememberance Parade.
21 December - The Regimental Birthday
