Introduction by the Company Commander Welcome to the Parachute Regiment Training Company.
The Parachute Regiment is renowned for its reputation for providing highly trained soldiers, the foundation being the Combat Infantryman’s Course here at Catterick.
During your time at Catterick we will train you over a period of 6 months (26 week course), to take your place within the Regiment. On arrival at Catterick, you will join a Platoon of up to 50 other new recruits from all over the UK and other parts of the world. You will cover all aspects of general military and specialist infantry training. You will be trained by experienced and highly professional officers and non-commissioned officers from the three regular Battalions of the Parachute Regiment. On completion of the course you will be fully prepared for both war fighting or peace keeping operations anywhere in the world.
The Regimental motto is Utrinque Paratus “Ready for Anything”, and it is as important in training as it is when you join your Battalion. You will naturally find the pace of life different, the change of culture and differing surroundings a whole new concept. We do, however want you to succeed and will help you overcome any difficulties.
Remain positive, upbeat and determined and you will succeed.
