Army/Land
The standard army beret colour is CF Green. This beret is worn by every soldier of the land enviroment unless they wear a different headress (by virtue of thier regiment) or unless one of the following exceptions applies:
- Soldiers of an Armoured occupation and soldiers posted to Armoured units will wear Black Berets.
- Parachute qualified soldiers (while serving in a parachute unit or sub-unit) will wear a Maroon Beret.
- Soldiers employed in the Canadian Special Operations Force Command will wear a Tan Beret.
- The Military Police wear a Red Beret.
Prior to unification, there were a great variety of different beret colours and regiments often had thier own colour. This is no longer the case.
