The Prince Edward Island Regiment is a Reserve Force armoured reconnaissance regiment.
Lineage
The Prince Edward Island Regiment trace their lineage back to The Prince Edward Island Highlanders (25 June 1875) and The Prince Edward Island Provisional Brigade of Garrison Artillery (31 March 1882). Historical Section.
Battle Honours
The Prince Edward Island Regiment has been awarded nine Battle Honours, of which 6 are emblazoned on their Guidon.

Allied and Affiliated Units
The Prince Edward Island Regiment maintain a Regimental Affiliation with their Allied Regiment:
- 9/12 Royal Lancers.
Until the activation of the Royal Regiment of Scotland, an alliance was also maintained with The Black Watch (Royal Highland Regiment). The status of pre-amalgamation Scottish regiments is unclear at present.

The motto of The Prince Edward Island Regiment is PARVA SUB INGENTI. The motto translates to "The small under the protection of the great".
