About
The Continuing Education Officer Training Plan is a program that has been recently revived by the Canadian Forces in order to meet aggressive recruitment goals set by the Canadian Government.
The program is activated for specific military occupations and is not meant to be a general enrolment program; when projections indicate that the traditional general enrolment programs (ROTP, DEO, etc) will not meet recruitment targets according to the Strategic Intake Plan for a given occupation, CEOTP may be opened by CFRG to achieve the desired numbers.
The program allows enrolling members to avoid the requirement to hold a university degree on enrolment but supports the greater desire for a degreed officer corps by requiring the member to complete a university degree by the end of their initial engagement with the Forces.
The officer candidate proceeds immediately through all initial military occupation training and is assigned an individual learning plan (ILP) by the CDA in order to achieve the educational goals agreed to on enrollment.
