All Corps of the Canadian Land Force Command belong to one of three arms: The Combat Arms, the Combat Support Arms, or the Service Support Arms. The following Corps/Branches are of the Combat Arms:
Historical
Before 1940, the Cavalry was also considered one of the Combat Arms; mechanization begun in the 1930s and completed in the first year of the Second World War led to the replacement of the Cavalry with Armour.
