Retired in March and I also received a similar deposit in Nov with no corresponding pay statement.  Unsure what it is and assume retro severance.  My pension comes into the bank titled Deposit Canada. and this was titled Pay Canada which I believe is the RPPO.

Would I be correct in assuming that for the purposes of the income tax laws, severance pay can be transferred into an RRSP when no head room is available (pre 1996 qualifying years) even if one does not actually retire, as is going to be the case for many of us?

This is getting ridiculous.  I printed both CANFORGEN's and will go through both to figure out what the difference is, as it isn't obvious at a glance (other than the DTGs).

Strike I noticed that as well and was unsure if the caveat applied to the entire paragraph, or only the last item in the sentence.  Based on the fact that 1500 people were impacted I believed it to be the last item only (Lease liabilities and IL and M).  I've taken another look at the CANFORGEN...

The current benefit cessation puzzles me in a number of ways.  In the interest of disclosure I am impacted significantly as I rent furniture on IR IAW the CBI, and now am either sleeping on the floor, or paying out of pocket for my furniture rental.  This seems less like a money saving...

I'm not too sure where the base got their information from as it is clearly a one bedroom condo.  My landlord was as baffled as I on this one and as he pointed out,  if it was a 2 bedroom he would certainly receive more rent.  I sent in photo's and the listing sheet to prove that it was a one...

Halifax did not provide any guidance WRT bedrooms when I asked prior to my posting..........they just provided the max amt allowable for furniture and accom, which is 1450$ in these parts.  I stated that I had a one bedroom when asked in Nov by the OR staff, and my landlord replied the same...

Here in Halifax a letter was sent to all those occupying unit's with more than 1 bedroom advising them they had until 30 April to vacate as they were not in compliance with DCBA guidelines.  Made for some interesting times.

Somewhat of an academic discussion regarding the issue of new wings/tails vice a new airframe given a contract signed recently between the crown and LM for 10 sets. The CP 140 was a big leap from the Argus and we did not jump right into utilizing the new kit to it's full capability right away...
