Engineer is an officer occupation of the Canadian Military Engineers that is unique to the Army. The non-commisioned counterpart of the Engineer is the Combat Engineer, and together these two occupations form the Combat Arms group known as Engineers.

Engineers are typically required to have a university education in engineering or science, with preference being for civil engineering degrees.
