Iran Super Thread- Merged

Israel had to do something after the Iranian attack.

So they showed that they could indeed attack Iran’s airfields and nuclear sites, but did so in a very minor way to keep allies on board.

So in way a way the Iran-Israel attacks where escalations, but also the same tit for that has been done with proxies before.
Seen anything firm up for what got hit? I’ve seen talk of a particular AFB and some missile sites that were involved in the attack, nothing solid about nuclear sites. So far the response seems surprisingly muted.

The AFB is collocated with one of the nuclear sites from my understanding.

The full list of crew on the crashed helicopter of Iranian President Raisi:

Iran's President, Ibrahim Raisi
Iran's Foreign Minister, Hossein Amir Abdollahiyan
Ayatollah Al-Hashemi, Imam of Tabriz Mosque
Governor of East Azerbaijan Province, Malik Rahmati

Or Israel’s …,

I’m not too upset…..🤣

Per BBC, Iranian state TV is now saying that the site has been reached and no signs of life found. I've seen a few different but consistent photos and videos that others have geolocated showing a burned crash site. Looks like this has firmed up and Iran may be down a president and a foreign minister. Pity.

Maybe if they had flown in an Mi-8/17, and not a Satanmobile… 🤷🏻‍♂️

I wonder if sanctions got them via maintenance issues for the Bell?
There were some issues internally, but they keep F-14s flying, so some simple helicopters shouldn’t be a challenge. A 212 is not a complicated machine, and it’s pretty forgiving…until you fly it into the ground.

Do they actually still have airworthy F-14s?
