I did my medical on February 12th and sent them the papers they gave me (to get filled in by a doctor) on April 10.
I was just wondering how long it usually take to get news back? I know that obviously it depends but how long approximatly?
If you failed the medical, do they call you or send you a letter?

Does a month seem kind of long or is that totally normal?

Random question if I may, I am a Canadian citizen living in California and am about to book my appointment for testing, medical, and the interview. If I book it say, in January 2015 will that be too long? What I mean is, is that too far of a date to book being 6 months away or does it not matter? Any scope on this would be much appreciated! Going for infantry, i've been training hard at the gym and studying for the CFAT.

They are not going to call you, at least I didn't get called when I was asked to get a paper filled by Lasik MD for my surgery. I handed the paper to them, then they sent my file for review to Ottawa and it came back cleared. The thing is I had to call my file manager to get update on what was going on and I recommend you do the same and call, your file manager will be able to tell you if you medical file came back and if either or not it was cleared. I don't know if you already did you interview but when I called my file manager he told me that I had been put on the merit list.

To the OP - will likely be awhile.  The RMO essentially has two piles of files - "Reccomnend Immediate Enrollment" and "Everyone Else"..."Everyone Else" is very much higher than the "Immediate" pile.  If you haven't heard after a little under a month, wait until about mid-May before you start bugging folks, as they likely won't have an answer just yet.
