Having been there and done it I can add a couple things. Navres (usually Bos'ns and NavComms) are paid by the Navy and make up 50% of total strength. The other 50% comes from FSWEP and are student CCG employees. FSWEP students usually stick around for a couple more seasons of IRB and the NavRes...

Thanks for the reply's, and looks like the PLAR will be the way to go. Not that an Army Combat Arms Officer will likely get to play with RHIBs, at least I get to play with  them with RCMSAR right now. We did some helicopter training with the USCG and the MH-65 talk about fun ;D

Is the CCG RHIOT (Rigid Hull Inflatable Operators Training) course  recognized within the Forces or is it just another cool thing to have to dazzle CFRC with when rejoining.
