That's a pretty good development of the 105. I suspect the first rounds could be fired in under a minute, it's no Archer, but a good lower cost alternative. Too bad it will never get this is Canada, lol.
A union boss decided to visit a house of ill repute in Las Vegas.
He found a place of his liking, and asked the madam "is this whore house unionized?."
She replied, "it is not".
He then asked, "well how much do you get, and how much does the girl get?"
The madam replied" I get 80% and the...
Possibly I am looking from a bias that I can't recognize from my vantage point.
I would suggest that I have a unique insiders view of how a government works, and while I recognize the Alberta government is one of the most bloated and inefficient in Canada, it isn't alone.
The truth is that...
I do work for the government (Alberta) and yes, more often than not, building maintenance folks are paid less, even those with trade tickets, but they are a tiny minority of government workers. In the case of the Alberta government, most property management folks are not government employees...
I think you are missing the point. A qualified tradesman is not qualified to work as a public employee in most government departments. Compare a person with the qualifications to be a public servant in most departments with a person of similar qualifications outside of government. The public...
The problem with a defined benefit retirement package is that is a millstone around the neck of the tax payer. These are called unfunded liabilities, and compounded with massive public debt these programs become a destabilizing force on the economy.
Have a look at California, and even worse...
My TSM sent me this, not sure what he was trying to get at.
Spend Your Money Wisely
A man walks into a pet store and is looking around when he spots a chimpanzee in a cage marked, "$1000".
The man looks a little closer and discovers that the chimpanzee is wearing a maroon beret, jump boots...
I think most RSS are over tasked, especially the MCpl's and Sgt's, there is just to much for a unit to do, and no ability to do it, unless the RSS get it done. I suspect this to be a pretty common feature of many Reserve units.
I know many RSS feel overburdened, unappreciated, and unsupported...
If there is a decision in the near term to provide new (ish) equipment to replace the C3's it must, for budget reasons, be a newer 105 mm system. If this decision is not made soon, all or most Reserve units will become 81 mm mortar units.
That being said, the chances of a newer 105 are slim...
SIMPLE TRUTH 1
Partners help each other undress before sex.
However after sex, they always dress on their own.
Moral of the story: In life, no one helps you once you're screwed.
SIMPLE TRUTH 2
When a lady is pregnant, all her friends touch the stomach and saying "congrats".
But, none of...
The issue of staffing for summer courses is vexing at the best of times, but it seems to be getting worse.
Most of my Sgt's and MBdr's have been teaching courses all fall and winter. Then they get the pressure to take their summer off to teach in Shilo. It is too much to ask. The Reserves...
I agree it is a bit strange to be giving out the NCM cap badge to untrained officers. I was not comfortable with it at all. (I was the only 2lt in my unit not to come up through the ranks, so to me it was particularly uncomfortable) On CAP it was required that all candidates have a cap badge...
I am not certain about the OCdt rank change. A DEO is not an officer Cadet, but a 2Lt from the start, but RMC students are all 2Lt's by the time they do their phase training and they have not completed their degree. I remember on CAP we did have a couple of OCdts, but most of my course were...
