FYI, I talked with an individual working on HMCS Regina today (Fleet week tour) who is a naval reserve member who did his BMQ at Saint Jean. I guess its not that unusual after all.

My son has applied to join the navy reserves as of this last April and is going through the application process. All thats left is the security/background checks and medical (plus enrolment). The recruiter at the reserve unit said he will most likely miss out on this summers BMQ mod 1 and 2...
