    Improved Combat Uniform

Yes, absolutely we all have. I tend to cower in the corner and wait for an adult to come help me. In all reality though, I went to exchange my combats as they are in deplorable condition. Then was told no, you can't replace new combats until your current ones have a "critical thread failure"...

    Improved Combat Uniform

We aren't allowed to. The hi vis is not tri service. It was only designed to replace the subdued green ranks. The navy are olive drab with black thread and the Air Force is olive drab with blue thread. The whole point of the different colour thread was to respect the CANFORGEN regarding...

They told me that they do not have the new ICU rank patch for the navy yet.

    Improved Combat Uniform

OK, so half of my question has been answered. Those rounded edge patches are the correct ones? If yes, I can order the ones I need. Cheers!

    Improved Combat Uniform

Yes, the navy and air force have environmental patches, olive drab with black thread. The Hi-Vis is army only.

So, question for you all, now that the new ICU is being issued here in St-Jean, where would a navy guy get the rank patches for these gucci pieces of kit? I know CP gear is selling "Canadian Army Rank Patches" on their site, and it says they can accommodate requests for other environments, etc...

    Navy Mess Kit and Kilts?

OK, so this question has probably been asked a million times, so I apologize beforehand. Are Navy personnel allowed to wear a kilt with their mess kit instead of the pants? I come from a Scottish family (MacKinnon tartan), therefore have a proper family tartan. Thanks in advance all!

    Monitor Mass

That's one change, but clerks in turn are going to become more responsible for organizational data and all the "not normal" data entry in the new system, and if you take a bit of time to look at the UPK on DHRIM's website, I'm certain you'll understand that this software, meanwhile easier, is...

    Monitor Mass

I love conversations such as this. Deep into my world. Ok, so here is the story: Way back in the day when UER's were one of the primary "records of service", there was only one electronic database which held all the information (and not very reliably). In 1994, DND bought into HRMS v6.0 which...

    Policy on Clickers?

Yeah, I suppose I just wanted to make sure it wasn't an "army only" kind of thing. Thanks for the info!

    Policy on Clickers?

Certainly in my plans, but before approaching the CoC on it, wanted to get some input, experience or perhaps find someone who already knows the answer. :-)

    Policy on Clickers?

Thanks for responding.  Just so happens I have a set of the old style parades (the good ones, before vibram became a food group) and they are in excellent condition, two hours and they are like glass...but I'm just wondering now, I've heard before that navy senior NCO's not posted to a ship...

    Policy on Clickers?

And I should add the question right off the bat: scenario of a navy instructor at a school (not on ship) wearing them.

    Policy on Clickers?

Question for anyone out there who knows, seems to be a slight debate on the topic, but what is the policy on having "clickers" on your parade boots?  As well, if it's permitted, is it a pan-CF thing?  Cheers!

    Promotions in the CAF [Merged]

Actually, take that reference one step further, to Para 4.3, specifically where they speak of the "RPE" or review of previous experience.  Mark my words, just because you are a Cpl in the reserves does not by any means make you eligible to retain that rank in the RegF.  I've processed enough of...
