Canada moves to 2% GDP end of FY25/26 - PMMC

The house returned?? Must have been that 2 weeks I went on vacation and ignored the world. Seemed like the election ran into summer break.

Public service employment has grown by 31 per cent

That is a whole other matter and doesn't change that they took what was a temporary situation, treated it as permanent and thus did things they shouldn't have. No one ever said we were not all returning to offices full time, it was always put out as temporary action during covid restrictions...

Public service employment has grown by 31 per cent

and that is the real problem. They ran with the "this is temp during covid" and treated it as a perm sit. They should have retained the facilities for when it was over and things returned to relative normal. The immediate reward of we saved a million dollars was too tempting.

Yes because people wanted that for years, CPC pushed it and the liberals ignored it until the last election when threatened with defeat. Carney didn't cancel carbon tax - they reduced it to zero and could just as easily put it up tomorrow.

Hmmmm. I see the plan is for the Port of Montreal to be a winner. Does he think that this will sway Quebec into cooperating on a pipeline they have refused so far?

5 Canadian soldiers suspended after Nazi salute video emerges

ooooh - I am forbidden from that subject as we don't all agree on it and certain people hate it when I say it isn't the salute. They also hate it when I mention all the pictures of other people that appear to be saluting but they say are waves. What makes his a salute and theirs a wave?

5 Canadian soldiers suspended after Nazi salute video emerges

The letters for suspension I have seen also stated the member was banned from military facilities during the suspension unless specifically authorized in advance for the purpose of some military administration such as getting served the charges. it did not stop their pay unless they were a...

    Liberal Minority Government 2025 - ???

https://www.aircanada.com/media/air-canada-and-air-canada-rouge-flight-attendant-negotiations/ Current terms. Seems that a junior first year gets a low pay that then can go up by 150% in 10 years. In 2015 when the contract started the new member rate was $25.13 and in 2025 that FA in the...

Barred entry into USA for training

Maybe the issue with the NTO and extra admin was because the last time I had to do them we were told the members were to have their passports with them in case something happened requiring emergency travel into a non-NATO location.

    New pay raise affect IRB?

Where's the fun in that? Rumour keeps life in the military interesting. :D:ROFLMAO:

    New pay raise affect IRB?

It would be easier to do the one dump every year rather than track on enrolment dates. I remember the MPs in early 2000s had the enrolment bonus that was partly paid on enrolment and partly paid at the 3 year mark I think. It was a pain and it wasn't unusual to have MPs at the counter...
