    MARS possibilities

I'm noticing a lot of outdated information not only on this forum but in other online communities as well. I'm piggybacking off of old threads to promulgate as much relevant information out there as possible for current and future NWOs.

    Navy question

It depends largely on your trade and the current stage of your career. For most naval trades, you will only be detached from a ship to attend a career course (a course that you need in order to progress your career) or if you are on medical limitations. For administrative trades, such as clerks...

    MARS possibilities

Along with the recent changes in training of junior NWOs, the directors and command streams have been significantly affected as well. BLUF: NWOs now choose a "sub-occupation" after graduating from HMCS Venture, which allows them to pursue unique streams that will determine the rest of their...

The NWO training has changed significantly since the last post in this thread. NWO II, III, and IV have been consolidated into one course called NWO Basic - it is an approximately 6 month-long course conducted at HMCS Venture in Esquimalt, BC. In this course you will learn the absolute basics...

What are the written tests like BMQ?

99% of tests will be multiple choice. They are done on computers with a civilian supervising the test. The only time when I've seen short/essay questions was during the leadership theory test, but I believe that test is for BMOQ only. You will not need to do that test if you are in BMQ.
