April 2017 Top Up Payments Incorrect

Definitely challenge it of your in the same boat because I was thinking the exact same way untill I did the calcs and re-read the language. I almost didn't bother calling in, I've asked the question via message before and got no actual answer as usual. But the analyst confirmed any percentage...

April 2017 Top Up Payments Incorrect

Everyone please go back to your current benefits and payment history, and add up total disability award and other benefits "additional lump sum". I don't know why I didn't raise the alarm earlier, but I just spoke to VAC about my math vs their math and I and they just realized I was shorted...

    VAC in the News

That's right, parliament need's to mandate that unspent funds be used - ideally to veteran's benefits / apply a annual excess funds top up ect. and not simply beef up their overhead. All they have here is approval to hire should they have cash on hand to do so.

Thanks Teager, I sent this off to BPA - last time I worked with them we changed VA's entitlement decision, hoping for the same: Good Afternoon, I am looking for assistance on appealing what I believe was an unjust denial of the Critical Injury Benefit due to criteria interpretation...

Return of NDI 75: Veteran Service Card [Merged]

I have an even simpler dumber question, are there really so many fake Veteran's out there that we need a card to identify ourselves? Am I missing something, or is that literally its only function? I mean thanks, sweet gesture but... give it a purpose of SOMEKIND.

To be fair though, I have to admit. This only really add's significant money at 100% disability ratings, anything under 55-65% may have disappointing conversion rates. They really need to be forthcoming on their calculation methods, and what the qualifier is for the additional pain and...

VAC Return to Lifetime Pensions Discussion

You can, but not the income replacement which makes up the majority of the budget. and the lump sums are capped at 360k vs lifetime amounts of 800k +++ so they save over 50% of their budget per person for those who opt for lump sums, but, they need to budget for the worst case scenario - where...

VAC Return to Lifetime Pensions Discussion

It reads depressing but its not, the reason they do not need the cash up front is because there calculation again assumes everyone will take monthly payments. And with that logic They can spread that one out literally over 20-30 years. Its just dumb accounting to finance the full sum just to...

VAC Return to Lifetime Pensions Discussion

Exactly, the gap is just too big. Now, they do take into account what you have already received but it does not apply to pain and suffering. That calculation applies to the Pension for Life amount ie. fund number 3. Which cannot be taken in lump sum. Now we wait,

VAC Return to Lifetime Pensions Discussion

Here, this should settle your collective anxiety. I know, I feel the same way in waiting to get blind sided but aside from the fact they don't talk about the lump sums, I have confi they can both be taken as a lump sum. I've attached one of their case studies, of course it's monthly payment...

VAC Return to Lifetime Pensions Discussion

Also, guys don't spazz, of course we are entitled to our lump sums, read their own case studies. It's elementary. But, 100 percent paid does not equal according to pain and suffering, that's where adjudication comes in.. All in saying is, if you have exactly 26 years left to live and you happen...
