It could be, but that would require either the French Government paying for to integrate American weapons ,sidewinder and ANRAMM ( SP?) the sparrow replacement. And the various air to ground weapons . The manufacturer has made abundantly clear they're not going to pay for it.

I could care less about the posturing it's the inability to grasp basic engineering and economic issues. I'm not sure you can replace all the American tech that so many call for. Or if you can I not too sure we can afford to pay a billion or more per aircraft.
