I joined at 42, finished BMQ(L) this summer at 43, and was awarded Top Candidate, go figure.  Hurray for the old folks!  40 is the new 20.

I'm currently nominated for BMQ(L) (PRes) for this June 2011, however, I'm getting pushback from my employer about taking 4 weeks off.  Has anyone heard whether there are weekend BMQ(L) (formerly SQ) courses planned for 2011 in LFCA?  This summer and/or fall? Thanks!

I'm 42 and just got sworn in last month to the army reserve.  If you want it, go for it, but be ready.

Just to close the thread; it turns out Canada Post lost my package in transit, go figure. I doubt that happens often.  The CFRC re-generated the file and it made it to the unit. Communication between the source and the destination was key.  I'm sworn in and happy to be aboard!  ;D

It is my understanding that there is such a thing as a Geomatics Officer, however, it is a specialization under the ENG O career path, and as far as I know, you cannot enter the CF under such a title. I don't know any details about the career progression if you already have geomatics experience...
