Not much I guess. But to be clear, my post is aimed at those who would otherwise be lazy and use MSN type short hand, or not care (or even be aware) of the differences between "Their" or "There". Not necessarily serving members (even though it should still apply).
I get what your saying to a...
^ now that is informative. Well put together, and to the point.
wson's piss-poor grammatical skills aside (never a good idea to call serving members "Dude"... just a heads up )
I've also found it a bit difficult to get a straight word on the trade. That said, I am also well aware that the...
To be clear, I never advocated that 12 year old's be given a loaded weapon and taught to shot "human" shaped targets or how to do section attacks. I was talking in terms of Cadets as a whole. Sure back when I was a Cadet we did a lot of cool stuff that today is Verboten, what ever the reasons...
Wow. Things HAVE definitely changed. Fair enough. As for the negative stigma, given that mission statement I can certainly see why when a lowly Cadet talks as if they have military experience, they look ridiculous and are treated as such. They no longer have any.
As for Conditioning 12 year...
+1 in fact I was just in touch with the RC in Ottawa to tell them I was moving and that I would have a change of address to add to my file. They responded telling me to get the info to them asap.
You were never in Cadets were you? Either that or you Corps really sucked.
Just curious why people have to dump all over Cadets all the time? Sure they ask bone questions a lot of the time, but mostly its because they're keen. Give the kid a break. He wants to be like YOU!
As for section...
While Im aware that Combat Divers are part of the Combat Engineers, I would have thought that the course/trade would have had another set of requirements all its own. Given how tough it is said to be to become a Combat Diver, this comes as a bit of surprise.
Im no expert, but can you back that up?(not calling you out...just curious) CANFORGEN? I've read a few posts on here regarding Lasik requirements for Pilot. I also can't imagine why having gone through Lasik would disqualify someone for Clearance Diver? What about Combat Diver? I would suspect...
Just a little update with what I've been incorporating in my routine: Lately, I've been working a session every other day into my week where I will run on the treadmill on +2 incline at about 9.5km/h for 30 min and then for another 10min I'll do 2min on and then 30 seconds straight of non-stop...
I am putting this here because this area gets quite a bit of traffic from soon-to-be members and/or people looking to become members and thought a thread on this topic might save some people from some unnecessary flaming ;) Mods, feel free to move it where it should be, if not here.
I've been...
Hey Mckenzie,
Im not in the system yet (fingers crossed!!!) but from the little I know, during BMQ I believe you will be required to live in barracks along with your course mates. I can't see them letting you off base as part of the training is keeping your bunk area spotless and in order. Think...
Assuming that they did actually abide by Islamic traditions.... part of me would not be surprised if they simply kicked his body over the side of the ship followed by a few colourfull comments regarding his love for pork products :P
