Thanks, turns out the system was running out of memory, and the search indexer (elasticsearch) is a bit of a memory hog. The "out of memory manager" for the server was killing it. Ironically, due to other recent server issues, I ratcheted up the early out of memory aggression, contributing to...

Thanks, I'm tracking the issue. We seem to be under significant load, +90% higher than typical traffic. I'll update when I have more!

Quick update, the daily reports indicate all is going well with the new email controls.

Much appreciated, let's see how things go! I also did some cleanup of old stuff so maybe will compensate for the extra load. Time will tell!

Probably not, but having said that, the compute cost for sending every single email has just gone up, as we have to cryptographically sign the contents now. Won't help with server load I'm afraid, but keeps us in the game for being able to send email.
