Older thread I know, but at any time during recruiting, do they ask to see an actual card? I haven't had mine since I was a kid, just have the number in my head.

When i was doing the medical part, they wanted nothing mailed or faxed. Everything had to be dropped off.

I went in with my work clothes on cause I was going to work after, didn't say too much just to dress better for the interview. Probably not the best advice though.

Fairly simple question i have, but cannot find the answer. Do ACS techs get qualified for a certain airframe like AVN techs or is it a more general trade?

After a LONG six month wait, was back in Hamilton on friday. Think I'm gonna get through this time, doctors letter getting sent off to Ottawa.

Got a six month wait on my file. So took a night school class in calculus. BTW, does anyone know if night school is looked at the same as regular school? Or is a credit a credit. Either way, class ends a month before my file gets reopened.

Damn you did your interview, a day after I did mine.  I haven't got the  medical letter of doom yet, so i am hoping for a good outcome also. Congrats.

I was watching basic up and they were talking about having a picture frame, not sure if it was really true. The instructor said they needed pictures to put in them, or else he was gonna bring in pics of his mom. So I'm wondering if it was more of a joke or what?

Ya you're probably good to go same thing happened with me, didn't say much, just processed my paperwork. Afterwards a bunch of us were sitting out in the lobby and I was still wondering, so I asked one of the recruiting staff if anyone failed. They just told me I was alright, that was enough for...

Just to add, I'm no expert but as long as the trade you wanted was one of the three you previously chose. They should look at it the same as if it was your first choice.

I just had to drop off the medical papers, and brought in the fork lift certificate. Even the recruiters said volunteering wasn't going to help at all, weird.  Now I'm wondering whats up, none of my references have been called. Has this happened to anyone else. Search thing seems to be down.
