When I was working as an AdC a month ago I was escorting an Aussie Wng Comdr and that was the exact plan they laid out. Effectively the Mil bought a subdivision and leased it, very low cost, to its members. Once the houses reached a certain age (10 years I believe) they sold them off and...
Having PMQed in Gagetown and Edmonton the problem remains. G-town consistently condemns PMQs as soon as tenants leave them. I don't know about the last few years but when I was there there was no drive to rebuild/replace those Qs. They remained vacant and condemned.
I can certainly attest...
Generally it is a Squadron SOP (standard operating procedure). Initially deployed tanks actually mounted two MGs externally but most CC's don't use them so generally loaders have them. As noted by RbD... CC are usually too busy to be interested in their MGs

Yes currently each RegF regiments is providing a Tp. The SHQ and most of the echelon was drawn from 1CMBG as well. One or two maintainers were drawn from other areas. As noted 3-08 will provide elements as well as some of the SHQ elems (I honestly can't remember the exact...
Current organization is 3 Tps of 4 plus an SHQ. With or without Leo 2s... and that is the organization for the next ROTO and the 2 previous. The 4th Tp is the OP reserve Tp.

a tank troop: 16 pers
a tank Squadron: approx 90 (give or take there is a bit of flex ref SHQ and maintenance due to NSE involvement)
The tanks and their operators operate solely out of FOBs. They...

Having been on scene I just wanted to say that Cpl Hornburg did everything right and performed amazingly under the most dire of conditions. He performed to the highest standard and will always be remembered that way.

Drummy/HitorMiss,
as a member of 1CMBG going over with 5 CMBG I can tell you that the 2000 number is innacurate. The Vandoos are sending .......

Mode note: No need to include numbers or formations....
MP3 players, Laptops etc are "permissible" but you need to understand that you can't really store them in your room. They must be hidden from sight during all inspections and really during the day as well. When I completed mine lots of ppl had MP3 players and the odd game boy and some laptops...
BC Recce,
as noted Ph III is about 10 weeks, ph IV (from my vague memory) is about 13ish... plus the Sussex EX at the end which lasts 1 week.
Both courses are completely self-contained and "unmodded". The only POSSIBLE mod you might get would be Gunnery in ph III if it was completed before...
Although late to the game...
C/S 31 from C Sqn LdSH(RC) has "unofficially" renamed their tanks. With a chuckle and a nod from the OC they were renamed (two actually printed on their barrels)
31 - CARNAGE
31A - CHAOS
31B - CRIMSON
31C - COMA (the flowerpot vehicle)
