I wouldn`t overly worry about your marks. I got into DEO pilot with an average of about 65% in university (60% being the pass/fail mark). The interview was 1.5hrs long and we spent a whole 3 min talking about my marks and school. Needless to say, there are a lot of other things they will ask you...

Good thing they looked into it, I dropped from level 4 to level 2. I am sure they would have ended up finding out about it later on anyways. Now I have no worries and can feel free to invest my money as I see fit.

The gyros in a tank are on gimbals(I think). The whole point of them is that when the vehicles rotates and bounces around they gyros will remain fixed in reference to space (or ground). Throw in some computers and sensors and you stabilize the gun. The exact same thing is used in aircraft...
By staggering start dates it lessens the facilities requirements. One group will need the range one week, followed by the next group the next week as oppose to both groups needing the range the same week which would mean a bigger range. But the all training needs to be done by the end of April...
I realize that. I meant to say have cut-aways for weapons such as the C7 and C9 which use a much different action if I recall correctly. I am by no means a an expert in this.

We once covered a C7 with those little neck cover things that come tucked in your bush hat. I think we were bored that ex.
