Not an expert, but won't Old Man Winter be just around the corner in Afghanistan in 4 months? From what I've heard and read, things tend to slow down in the winter months in this part of the world.

Aside from cadets, the last unit that I know of to occupy the Dundas Armoury (now a community centre, BTW)was the Wentworth Regiment, but they were amalgamated into the RHLI (Hence RHLI(WR)) in either 1930 or '32. The unit crest is still displayed on the armoury wall.

Can I do both with the same form. Yes.

You won't get the CFRC to answer this one. Just do the test, and you'll quickly find out if you qualified for the trade you want (you'll even get a list of jobs you qualified for).

Sounds like a good question for the recruiting centre. They might have the facts...

If you check out the "Background Images" section on this site, you can also have pictures of troops wearing the old combats, carrying FN's across a rope bridge. At least the game has current equipment!!

I know a guy who this happened to. He was spat upon by a large group of "peace protesters" who also uttered death threats to him. He did the smart thing, and walked away (he was by himself). Armyvern is right, though. If you can ID the individuals, then a call to the police is definitely in...

There's a story in Vanity Fair called "The Recruiter's War" that talks a lot about this sort of recruiting practice (esp the USMC and Army). I'll try to find it and post the link.

You should be okay, provided that you pay the ticket promptly and that you don't get a criminal record (ie you were doing 250 in a school zone or something).

Don't change your mind just because you don't meet the minimum eligibility requirements.....yet. Finish your Grade 10 (you will need it for the rest of your life, anyway), and spend the next year getting everything else in order. If you really want something, then go and get it!
