    The CAF pension is eligible for income splitting. I have been doing so since I retired at the age of 58.

    That is VERY counter to the narrative of so many Canadians, who seem to believe that taxes would be lower in the US, even before paying 5-12K per year for health insurance (results vary from state to state, personal circumstances etc)

    Small point - not everyone. I am not eligible based on my pension and my modest income. Given that Mil salaries have expanded dramatically in the last 5 years, this will have an effect on more and more retired service members.
