    Strike

You are not kicking a CAF member out in weeks unless they are a training failure or murdered someone. It takes almost 2 years with all kinds of warnings, displinary paperwork and chances given in my experience. Where have you seen it take weeks?

If anyone is ever curious what entrenched beuacracy and entitlement looks like I will point them to this reply. It is also good for anyone that thinks modern government unions have jumped the shark I am a soldier so I am firmly in the tax payers pay my salary bracket. I joined to serve and...

Seniority does not mean competence, don't like it we can vote to have the rules changed. Saying "don't join our little club" screams a sense of entitlement and is the prime example as to why seniority should be one of a few metrics used.

What a poor take tying a every 4 year union demand to someone getting thier arms or legs blown off or wrecking their knees and back carrying 120lb rucks. The simple truth is pay raises should be fair and reasonable because runaway spending directly causes the inflation you see now and...

Veterans Affairs says worker ‘inappropriately’ discussed medically assisted death with veteran

Do you feel this current government under Justin T is looking after Canadians best interest? Sincerely curious. Voted liberal most times in my life but not currently.

I would say they manipulate their statistics in general for the best media spin.

    Close to 1 Billion unspent

It is a lot easier to abuse a mental health claim than a physical one to say otherwise is politically correct but disingenuous. The flip side of that is a mental health claim is the absolute easiest to get approved for and the most generous rating chart(not that any claim is truly generous)...

    Close to 1 Billion unspent

Have you read and seen the new vac rates and what level of injury it takes to qualify for each? Anything over 20% is near impossible to qualify for, crippling life altering injuries are rated at 10-15%. So heres $200 monthly and good luck, it is a bad joke. The entire system is designed to pay...

    96 weeks for a decision

I had one take 106 weeks get denied(appealed) that the Legion consider a slam dunk win last year. I have had two this year be done in two months approved, not a lot of rhyme or reason to the process. I do wish I had not waited to retirement to file. It was actually my nurse case manager that...

Your response to the member's question seemed to indicate to me that the benefit could not be withdrawn once given. I felt I read the policy incorrectly and you could provide some peace of mind that there would not be constant rechecks of the benefit. However, instead of that peace of mind or...

    VAC games

Yeah the government really hates to pay veterans. I have an eye condition that I am appealing for 10% which is rated at 60% on the American side. Our disability chart is absolutely stacked against us, then the payouts are lower to rub the salt in lol. Disability Rating Monthly Payment 10%...

    VAC wait times

I read the policy prior and again now, there seems to be a lot of wording early in the document that sure makes it seem alterable. Under cancellation, it seems more cut and dry but I strongly recommend confirming all details with a VAC expert on or prior to release. Government policy being...

    VAC wait times

I believe it is paperwork and/or a doctor's visit but hopefully, someone who has gone through the process can answer my first year as well. I used the wrong terminology when I said level 1, I am at the lowest for APS at $567 with a 70%ish rating. From what I have been told the higher levels...

    VAC wait times

The truth of the matter is when the government gutted the old veteran charter for the new one they moved the goalposts for injuries far to the right while also reducing the value of each claim, effectively gutting the charter twice. Link below to the current rating system so you can...

Advice on how to write a Mental Health claim to Vac?

I would encourage others to reach out to the provintial Legion officers as well. I may have had a negative experience but I should have simply reached out to a seperate rep instead of writing them off based on one officers failings.
