Interesting, considering he didn't even show to many of the ones he's been invited to.

Just an amusing note on the whole White House Ballroom side quest: the WHCD guest list is typically double the planned capacity for that ballroom. Just so we know the colour of that particular herring.

Admittedly, having seen the gaggle of different agencies working things like this, and stuff that happens in Multi-Jurisdiction Task Forces with "trained" TAC/ERT/SWAT/SRU etc officers I can easily see how an agent in civilian clothes could get shot in cases of mistaken ID.
One reason that one needs to be very very careful when armed and not in uniform.

And US law enforcement is notoriously subdivided into numerous gaggles.
