A Deeply Fractured US

Keep it classy, Illinois.
"A candidate who nicknames himself a Nazi salute should never have his name on a ballot."

I do so love American politics as a spectator sport. Now people can argue over what displays of fealty to Nazism are permissible and impermissible. Names? Gestures? Tattoos? Jewelry?

If Illinois won't have you (isn't hating Illinois Nazis an accepted thing) - there's always Alaska.

Richard Mayers (Republican Party) is running for election to the U.S. Senate to represent Alaska. He declared candidacy for the primary scheduled on August 18, 2026.

Mayers also ran for election to the U.S. House to represent Indiana's 1st Congressional District. He was disqualified from the Republican primary scheduled on May 5, 2026.

Mayers (independent) also ran for election for Governor of Illinois. He was disqualified from the general election scheduled on November 3, 2026.

But even in Alaska a potential candidate's name is enough to have him denied from running.

Didn't Trump provide weapons systems prior presidents would not? Didn't Trump green light strikes into Russia that prior presidents would not?

He blocked Ukraine aid, put forward peace proposals that would have had Ukraine surrender territitory Russia hasnt even won on the battlefield, slow walked weapons systems, cut off intelligence sharing, puppeted Russian talking points and dropped sanctions on Russia and belarus, but other than that, ya, hes been great for ukraine.
