Umm.. yes, I just did? What evidence do you have that I don't also work for 2CFFTS? Or at the very least have spent a relatively long portion of time there doing stats for that exact kind of thing? Unless something went catastrophically wrong in the last 18 months I stand by my statement.

It's almost impossible to drop people once they are in the NFTC program. Anecdotally I would say 2 max 3 people get cease trained in ph 2 per year. Thats out of 8 courses of 16 on average.
Ph3 Harvard and multi have basically nonexistent fail rates. I heard the helo ph3 has a bit higher rate. ...
Seneca is paid education, 100% pensionable time from time of enrolment and given a commission following BMOQ which takes place before their first semester of school. By the time they go for their last year of school they are winged captains.
So are those officers the same as RMC grads? If so...
Ahh so you agree with me then.
Are you aware that out of high school I can choose to go to Seneca college to become a CF pilot. Earning commission at 18 years old and becoming a captain shortly after earning my pilot wings at ~21 years old? So are the Seneca officers a lesser caliber then the...
I actually find this quite interesting. And to be sure we're on the same page a lot of my good friends are RMC grads and I hold nothing against the institution itself. I just think the potential issues it has aren't necessarily looked at in the right order.
So you pose the question about wether...
I'll rephrase that. Why go to RMC when you can go civy-U or better yet for pilots go to Seneca and be a captain at 20 years old.
The prestige doesn't impress anyone anymore, so why put yourself through that.
This is a bit ridiculous... By the way don't forget that RMC grads are the model officers in the CAF...
I'm incredulous on two fronts. Mainly that some of those affected went to the media to complain. And two that these kid's lives are so strictly regulated. What happens when they get let...
The jets fly training missions every day at a constant rate. They already go on Det about twice a year to "surge" training as suggested but it only gets the system caught up. Doing that as a constant practice would be impractical.
In the US the airspace is much more scarce, leading to much of...
For the record I enjoy it up there. I think some people are going to be unhappy regardless of their situation. Could it be better? Yeah for sure but I don't see any change coming anytime soon. PLD would go a long way in making it tolerable, maybe giving the airport bus a stop in town so people...
It's never a bad idea to look sharp around people you might work with in the future. Beard is cool though, you're not subject to the standard yet. Otherwise I would just dress comfortably...
Overthinking any part of this process is just as detrimental as underpreparing.
Best of luck
Oh man, you guys should have seen Pearson the other day. I was probably the only one not wearing a cadpat item of some sort. Suprised the locals didn't feel like they were being invaded.
Cool, was just wondering if that fell under the same category as desecrating the flag or something.
I'm usually proud of the right we have in this country to protest whatever we want, however this one struck a cord for some reason.
Didn't know where to post this.
An artist in NS created these as part of a protest of the Canada 150 celebrations.
I for one find it offensive and disrespectful of the veterans of this country.
Could this fall under article 419 of the criminal code?
Our Hawks just use bottled oxygen and are fairly different then the T-45. The Harvards have an OBOGS that fails relatively often but doesn't seem to have the same issue as the US fleet
Just following up, does anyone have any updates on the status of MPAC? And potentially when the next one will be held?
There must be a backlog of candidates by now I imagine
