I think it would be funny if true.
I have no idea if it actually takes place (and would be very surprised if it did), although several times during my basic training I observed some of my collegues in complete disbelief thinking "there is no way you're a real person..."
Previous flying experience is most certainly NOT a must. People have different strength and weaknesses and different ways to learn.
As Loachman said it can be hard breaking habits from learning on the civy side, I certainly experienced that having a CPL coming in.
My main advice as always...
Frustrating (but predictable) play to save face and try to dodge a political bullet from the wall they backed themselves into.
Glass half full, if we get the growler convertible ones and keep them as EW platforms after we take delivery of F35s in 5 years then it will be a positive...
I thought I replied a few minutes ago, apparently not.
I didn't mean to be snarky or sarcastic just got lost in translation maybe! Thanks for your help and I'll peruse a bit more to see if I can gather information to refine my questions (if I still have some)
Cheers
Sorry, I forgot it was a mortal sin on this site to not explicitly state that you had searched the site for information. I did, didn't find much more then you provided (although I do enjoy the Google function I learned how to use tonight).
Most of those threads are dated and don't really answer...
Hypothetical scenario/Question, would a single parent be able to enrol in the CAF? If so are they provided some kind of assistance for child care while they are on course?
What about for a service with children, can a spouse be sent to BMQ while her husband (or vice versa) is on a career...
Apparently an early version of the report had linked "systemic substance abuse" to part of the flight safety problem in Moose Jaw. Glad that didn't make it to the final version.
I was trying to be funny with the privilege thing. Seneca program kids have priority loading on their phase training because they have a timeline to follow as far as returning to school.
If you are finishing high school Seneca CEOTP is the only option that I would recommend to any of my friends. I don't know why anyone without a degree would do any different! Look into it and see which options align the most with your desires but if getting in the cockpit and moving along the...
I see how YMJ lessons relate... Sort of? I mean yeah own up to your screw ups sure but definitely don't go hide in a corner of you were dealt a bad hand? He was just worried a ticket he's fighting will be an issue at BMQ, which honestly I wish I could answer, but I have no idea. His biggest...
Or he was caught by a policeman who didn't have a reliable assessment of his speed in bad conditions. And he got a ticket for having an expired insurance card while he did have valid insurance, which he should have 24hrs to prove, if he has a case to fight it good for him. So many holier than...
Having recently been put through the training system I would agree with Loachman's perspective. I tried a balanced approach to my training where I put the time and effort I thought was required but also allowed a lot of time to relax and not thing/talk about flying. I found it very useful to be...
CAE owns the NFTC contract to maintain the aircraft and installations. Not the actual airframes.

You think they bought 30 some airframes for 19 million? Of course...
I feel like that's terrible advice. I'm still in touch with people I met at Aircrew. Pass or not making friends and spending time together makes it easier to relax.
