Up to a year wait for some people anecdotaly. It's really case by case, depends on your entry plan and the slots allocated for you in the training system. Some people end up doing sea survival and AMT before Ph1

Less than two months if everything goes according to plan. People who finished P1 in September were in P2 at the end of October.

So the trip to Winnipeg was them going "oops"? I wish I had known that before I got a license... Oh well, you don't choose your journey. Everything happens for a reason and I'm almost glad I didn't get in in 2012, I had great experiences in between then and now. Cheers.

Commercial Pilot Licence ( CPL )

Hello, I just want to clarify something regarding pilot applicants who are holding a current CPL. Other than the phase 1 bypass is there any advantage to being designated semi skilled? Monetary or otherwise? A friend of mine (as well as myself) are in a funny position albeit for different...

    Application Process Samples [2003 - 2018]

I know someone who passed ASC, went to Toronto for the medical got his Air Factor but is 13mm too tall for the Grob. He needs to get his CPL and re-apply, which he is doing. Don't let costs keep you from your dream!

    Leap-Frogging?

Seated height 13mm over. He's green on everything else. Apparently the Sergeant that debriefed him handed him documentation stating the steps required for a bypass. Would be kind of a bummer that he would get excluded because he didn't fit in an aircraft he would only spend a few hours in.

    Leap-Frogging?

Someone I know passed ASC last week and was told he could fit in every CF aircraft except the Grob.  He was told in Toronto his recourse was a CPL so he could bypass PFT and carry on from there. He would be incredibly bummed if this wasn't the case.

    RCMP postings

Thanks for all the information, I guess we will just have to wait and see. Being a mountie is her childhood dream and being an CF pilot is mine. Like I said if it's not possible for her to get a posting near where I end up I will likely withdraw as I can likely get a job with my education...

    RCMP postings

Zoomie, Thanks for your insight. Like I said I didn't think the CF would consider the spouse in any way(there obviously isn't a base in every town) From what I understand the RCMP will not consider non members as far as posting location either. I was just wondering if someone had encountered...

My wife is leaving for DEPOT soon and I'm merit listed, while there is no timeline for my departure to BMOQ I just have few questions regarding postings. Does anyone have any...
