"Security on military bases to be reviewed by all-party Commons committee"

Manned with what people? I don't have enough personnel to accomplish my mandate, let alone fill all the CFTPO's that come from Div. If you have extra soldiers, sailors, airmen (I don't care what colour the DEU) send them my way and I'll employ them.

    Joining The Infantry

There will be a test. You will be put in a room with a knife, a chicken and a dummy representing an enemy soldier. If you kill the "enemy" with the knife then bake the chicken for 1 hour at 350 degrees and serve with a side of roasted potatoes and a nice red wine you will go to Valcartier. If...

Frank was RCHA and RCCS, not RCR (although he did serve with them as a Lineman at one point).

You are getting one in the school this summer to champion your cause. Most of these issues are due to the fact that the Job Based Specifications for each sub-occupation were not hammered out prior to the implementation date for the new all-encompassing occupation (an explanation, not an excuse).

A Platoon Commander's job (among other things) is to interpret higher's intent and issue direction to his subordinate leaders based on that intent to ensure it is realized i.e. to Command.  Yes, that direction is issued directly to the Section Commanders (NCOs), however on top of maintaining...

*sigh*...glad you got a "warm and fuzzy" because I just lost mine (along with my patience).  If we (the leadership) can't even show we're vested, even a little bit, how can we expect the troops to buy in, or care.  ...the situation that PC explains above is a good example of a...

Without putting words in the mouth of "the man".  I'm sure he is sensitive to the morale issues and wanted the information presented in a forum in which members could voice their concerns and frustrations while enveloped in a warm hug of positive re-enforcement.  Going to your contact list and...

The letter came with explicit instructions from DSigs on how the information was to be released, including not forwarding it for dissemination.

Every new generation thinks they hold the Rosetta Stone when it comes to how things should be done.  By the time those "people we are getting now" are in positions to do anything they will be the dinosaurs for the new crop.  Once you're high enough in rank you'll realize that your fighting an...

MES was the son of MOSART (which was another bad idea along the same lines that died) and no one took it seriously until it was imposed on us along with an implementation date (it's coming to the rest of the military eventually if it hasn't already started).  I've been in some high level...

How are rumours that came out of the vacuum the Branch's fault?  Don't get me wrong...I too am unhappy with the lack of updates, but then on the flip side I also don't see how constantly sending out bulletins that say "nothing yet" would have helped anybody.  I think they were pretty up front...

The pay review has never made it past DPPD that is the last word we ever had from DSigs and MES and that is the only word that counts.  Lots of rumour and conjecture in this thread along with understandable, but misplaced anger.  The process is the process it's not the Branch's fault.

Do they let the troops wear their watches on BMQ now?  May be a moot point.
