What in the hell are people thinking or doing.... sheeesh.!  We are obviously living in a different era....

Sadly these are the times we live in, no excuse mind you. I'm in a similar situation, getting treatment and keeping rec'ts but there are some whom are hell bent on spewing we're all in it for money. Not always the case. Not easy being patient and it serves no purpose to get irate on the phone...

I am one of several recipients of plaques from Irvin Industries ( now Irvin Airchute , I believe) having packed a parachute in the early -mid 90's that helped save the life of a student at 2 CFFTS .  During my 12 yr posting to 15Wing there were several accidents/incidents. most survived, some...

It's just that..... your opinion.  Let others have their opinion either way.    Just sayin'.............

Best post I've seen in this thread, thanks Staff Weenie.!!  Not all wounds are visible either, and I agree, having fallen into the category of not indicating the severity of my injuries for fear of being "punted" according to my supervisor, whom I might add reminded me on many occasions...

Thanks George, I agree the DWD events are all different as people wish different types of event.  I guess I was expecting my event to go a bit better being a small one. Aside from the problems I encountered, I drove off the base for the last time thinking of some of the better accomplishments...

Without going into too many personal details having suffered several physical injuries and a mental injury that manifests itself symptom-wise with dis-association and the uneasiness of crowds or the feeling of being singled out,  my DWD after a 3b having served 27+ yrs was rather dis-heartening...
