Rumour I heard was starting in September they were increasing BMQ to 14 weeks and doing away with SQ. But BMQ is still only 10 weeks long though the date starting on Oct 10 is 13 or 14 weeks long, so it might be in the new year that they phase SQ out.

Yeah Fry...after you do a few years in the artillery you could come and join me  :P in the rear echelon if you don't like it up in the front lines :D I hear its easier to get on a deployment as a support trade as opposed to a combat arm trade.

The piss test will not pick up your drug use if it was past a couple months ago. They don't have a special machine to pick this stuff up. They operate on the honor system. But the recruiters do this for a LIVING and are TRAINED to pick up LIARS.

I think its different for infantry. You get your regiment now, and then your battalion later. Us support trades I think are told our posting when we finish BMQ or QL3s..
