    CADPAT colours

Yeah, Fabricland in Chilliwack had both temperate and arid.  I will probably use that for the curtains.  It's a little stiff for bedding, but I have not thrown it in the washing machine yet to soften it up.

    CADPAT colours

no, thankfully, he realizes that Dad is NOT INSANE :o, and therefore, the colours will just be used as a scheme, not actually going to paint the pixels. I might do his dresser, or the rails of his bed, or something like that, in pixels, but not the walls.  I think that I will be looking for...

    CADPAT colours

OK, after doing some fiddling around with Paint, I got a close approximation of the 4 colours of CADPAT (TW) On my screen the brown looks a little brown, but when I print it out on my printer, it is pretty close to the real colour. Good enough for my purposes, anyways. While I was at it, I...

    CADPAT colours

yeah, the scans of material will be my last choice, if nothing else turns up. I am hoping for more of a digital version, instead of a scan of material.  The machine tends to get confused with all the shadows between the threads.  Or at least that is what the lady at HD told me.

    CADPAT colours

My 6-year-old son wants his new bedroom colour scheme to be 'Army', so I am trying to match all 4 colours of Temperate CADPAT. So, I have a ton of this stuff laying around, and I am trying to do a colour match, but the colour-matching machine at Home Depot did not like trying to match the...

Gear Review - Arktis Windshirt, Eagle Admin Pouch, DZ C9 stuff daddy

Nope, pretty sure that was a CIC-bash. Mr BKells, do remember that there are several other CIC on this board, and while we can't all be gun-totin', bomb-layin', mo-fo's like you, we are still human, and members of the Canadian Forces, and as such, do deserve at least a modicum of respect. That...

MCpl Colin Bason, The Royal Westminster Regiment: 04 July 2007 (The Dude)

Royal Westies Association web page tribute to him.  http://www.royal-westies-assn.ca/Bason/master_corporal_colin_bason.htm (My step-dad is a member, so he got the email.) It looks like it was a very fitting tribute for a fallen hero.

Afghan Vets: What do you think of this?

I think that I have to agree with the above posting. I am hardly a high speed, low drag kind of guy, but this kind of thing looks like it might be just about perfect for me, for when I go on exercises with my cadets.  I am getting too old to be sleeping on the ground anymore (or at least I feel...

WTB- Airforce Officer Cadet Rank Slip Ons

It is not on the AIR or NAVY version of the Scale of Issue, but it is on the ARMY version of the Scale of Issue.  Just clarifying.

    Rifle Drill Peeve

I am fully aware that it is an Assualt Rifle, not a machine gun.  Your comment was a tad heavy-handed, my friend. I am assuming that you did not see the ( <<<< public perception ) thing that I put there? As in, if you hand a picture of a C7 or an M16 to the average joe on the street, and ask...

    Rifle Drill Peeve

I wasn't thinking in the cool story mode, just more a factor of logistics.  Don't keep the FN due to logistics, but what to replace it with? C7?  Giving machine guns to kids, NO ( <<<< public perception). Give them the historical rifles YES ( <<<< public perception) So, I am thinking that...

    Rifle Drill Peeve

Just a guess here, take it as you will They basically phased them out when the Regular and Reserves made the switch to the C7 Rifle / C8 Carbine, as it didn't make sense to the upper-ups to have the cadets firing a 7.62 rifle when the big boys were using a 5.56 rifle, so they decided to switch...

FS: CPGear CADPAT Large Utility Pouch (OLD STYLE ATTACHMENT) - Chilliwack ($20)

As per the subject line, I have a CPGear CADPAT Large Utility Pouch for sale for $20 incl shipping. There is one difference though, it has the old style CPGear attachment, designed to work with Daisy Chains, not with PALS.  On the other hand, that means that it should work with the new Issued...

FS: Olive Green Tactical Tailor Yoke - Chilliwack ($20)

As noted in the subject line, I have an OG TT yoke (or as they call it on their website, the X-Harness) for sale for $20 incl shipping. It is lightly used, I just got a CADPAT one, so don't need the OG one anymore. I would prefer cheque or money order, or if we meet up locally, cash, as I...

Advice needed - Best Winter Gloves?

I am not in an extrememly cold part of the country (Chilliwack BC, but I have found some pretty warm gloves at Home Depot, Superstore and Costco. In fact, I just picked up the Costco ones a couple days ago, and as such, still have them in my backpack, they are Head brand - Outlast model.  They...

    M60 + 850 Round Belt = Fun

:threat: talk about a numb trigger finger (and face, and shoulder, and ....) You would almost need a front end loader to pick up all that brass if you had a couple of those on the line at once. QB
