So I'm finishing off my last handful of credits towards obtaining the DMASc diploma and I'm starting to ponder this "advanced standing" that's offered by RMC towards a BMASc.
Has anyone here fired down that range before? I'm curious as to how the process works / what to expect.
Thanks gents
I hear what you're saying. I do need to defend myself here though; I'm not trying my damndest to get out of Valcartier for my sake, my wife and kid are the primary concern. They could post me out in the mountains here for all I care. My personal comfort comes way after my family's.
Besides...
Just a shot in the dark here:
I've been told the only obstacle to my being posted out of Valactraz is financing. Does anyone have any experience with financing a move on your own dime? I'm absolutely willing to suck up the financial hit to get my family out of here, but I'm completely outside...
Around 90% guarantee that nobody knows at this point. The EO/FCS training world is changing right now with the removal of the POET course from DP1.
I can tell you that he will need SQ, CET, and CETT courses before going on his QL3 course. EO-tech training takes a very long time.
I can't stand the "it happened to me therefore it should happened to you" attitude but fine, I'll always take it with a grain of salt.
My issue isn't simply that Anglophones get posted in Valcatraz, it's more that you repeatedly have situations where two QL3 courses are running concurrently...
AND your anglophone spouse is totally screwed for education/employment so you're suddenly a single-income-family. Can we factor THAT into the PLD? :-X
If given the choice between Alberta and here, I wouldn't think twice. :2c:
If you do a bit more digging...
It seems like that hot tub is back in Quebec (Saguenay, where it looks like he's from originally)
I'm the first person to point out that guys with $50k trucks shouldn't be complaining about pay, but I also get tired of being told how well I get paid when I lose...
Vous pouvez faire votre post en francais, il y a beacoup de gars qui comprennent au moins d'un peu.
Je m'en supposant français a cause de votre phrase structre
I'm all for fiscal responsibility, but don't you think we've done enough denying our past in this country? I'm pretty sure that our habit of severing links to history is to blame for our ridiculous apathy in Canada; when you sever the physical links, history becomes awful easy to warp. :'(
I'm not entirely sure about the number of Anglos posted to the R22R battalions as I`m with 5BNS, but there are a surprising amount of Anglos posted here (none that want to be here but that`s another story)
In chats with some of the VanDoos about this article the response was generally something...
Uhhh, it's not really that simple. There are plenty of trades that may require Level III. It all depends on what you might be doing; security clearance levels are not trade specific.
