    A Year In, And Frustrated

My opinion, take it or leave it, is that you were deemed unfit for a leadership role, but you were given the opportunity to earn a leadership position through proving them you are fit for it. I don't believe a person is given a particularly good opportunity to prove or disprove this within one...

    A Year In, And Frustrated

For myself and others, I think you should elaborate a little bit on what your perceived strengths were, and what your "history" was.

    Interview Tomorrow

The trick is to lick the food off your shirt. If you do that, then you're allowed to wear whatever you'd like.

Keeping wounded in CF - merged super-thread

It sounds like he's served the country proud. We owe him our thanks. But I don't think it's discriminatory that all members of a military force, who are soldiers first, be required to be combat ready. Looks like we'll soon find out...

    Spatial Ability Improvment?

Take the CFAT practice tests online. I'm not sure an IQ test is necessarily relevant, and I'm not familiar with the US Military tests so I don't know if they contain the same information.

    When Should I reapply

This is actually good advice, said everywhere on this forum, but I'm going to emphasize it again. By the time you take your test, do your best to be capable of exceeding the minimum requirements, in the PT Apt, or whatever the test is.

Canadian Forces Aptitude Test (CFAT) [MERGED]

During the summer, there may be courses (including reserve BMQ, etc) that you may elect to take. You basically may go "full time" for a period during the summertime, and continue "part time" service throughout the year. Your "part time" service may require one night a week, one weekend a month...

    Joining The Infantry

Although I think most of us would agree that it would be nice if it were more in date than it currently is, but recruiting figures come and go at such a pace that I think it would always just be that much quicker to contact a recruiter.

    Joining The Infantry

The fiscal year begins again in April 2012, so if the recruiter suggested you apply in March 2012 (one month early), it's probably good advice.

This. 15 minutes early is on-time. On-time is late.

Alleged police attack may nix soldier's Afghan tour

A person speaking as an expert of Use of Force would be providing that information regardless who is being charged. If the accused police officer followed accurate Use of Force, then that's it.

Questions about school marks and joing

This is probably the funniest recruiting thread I've ever read. Literally, half the posts made me just lose it and start laughing. At least the potential recruit got a feeling of CF humor.  :camo:

Question About Traffic Ticket On Base - "Fail to obey traffic sign - stop sign"

This is true. Plus, I'd rather provide "too many" photographs as opposed to too few (missing something that could legitimately be helpful to your case), so you could always provide those photographs and let the judge decide.

Question About Traffic Ticket On Base - "Fail to obey traffic sign - stop sign"

Photographs of the traffic sign would help. Photographs of the MP's position may be more difficult, because you can't prove (or even know for certain) where he saw you from.

Joining Canadian army as an Asian

I don't agree. I made mistakes, learned from them, and provided advice of what I learned. We're both CF, so we are both fully eligible to provide this threadstarter with advice.

    Military Clothing Worn by Politicians

He may have been lent it. Or he may not have. People complain because Harper left himself open to complaints. First mistake in politics. A moot point, but a point nonetheless.

    Releasing to other employment inquiry

My bad, I didn't notice. But I was answering a question specified at me, so it was a worthy necropost.

They seemed so at the time, I will agree. But it didn't make it right.
