Chris06.  I think this is one of the better responses i've seen on these forums in along time!!!! :salute: Before I went reg force, I was a member of one of these units too.  Follow Chris's advice and you'll be happy with YOUR decision, not what other people think.

yeah, you can imagine how I felt when I saw the friggen crack in the chanter.  And there not even my pipes! Needless to say, my wooden chanter NEVER comes out unless its a special occaision and RHFC_piper is right, to the untrained ear, you cant tell the difference between wooden and poly anyways.

Fav tunes come and go for me.  Really depends on how many times I play said fav tunes. Currently, Blue Cloud and Mason's Apron with big bold slurs are turning my crank!

Ya I remember those days too.  Our parent unit used to always take us out on ex with them as most of our cadets wern't falldowns.  I remember being issued an FN and got to fire the SMG/C2. We were treated as troops as long as we pulled our weight.  Shame those days are long gone, but seeing...
