The days of voting for policy are long gone in my opinion, if everyone in the Liberal party switched places with everyone in the Conservative party, I'd say 50% of voters would still vote for whatever party they always have.
More then 50 in the USA....
But shouldn't it be the elected Deputy PM steps up in the role until whomever takes the reins wins an election?
Edit: by or federal
Must be what you wish to hear, I'm reading the PP supporters here calling for an election asap.
Wouldn't a policy that would only allow a change of PM to happen while the house is sitting which then would automatically trigger a non- confidence vote be a way to work around this happening again?.
Sure would make 3rd parties in a minority Govt put money where mouth is.
Be interesting to sit in on this tribunal....

I was watching CHCH in Hamilton last night and they said voter turnout was around 27%.
Two of the 3 panelists were saying Mr. Ford has no mandate as he only got 12% of all eligible voters....
And no one has answered my question as to why, in the MOST populous part of our 'corridor', GO trains bleed money. They pass through my city 6 times a day [last time I looked] pretty much empty.
