    A Deeply Fractured US

If I follow some of you correctly, there’s should be two states inside the USA territories. One republican who can only juge republican and an another in which you don’t care what happening. More and more, my adaptation troubles are getting irritated by anything left or right. Both extremes...

    Army Reserve Restructuring

That’s my preferate base line concept to reorganise the ARes. A lot can be done decentralised while keeping and even augment the footprint therefore the recruiting bassin.

    Army Reserve Restructuring

There’s no « du » in Les Fusiliers Mont-Royal. A mistake that was done in Ottawa when our name was officially translated in French. We never cared to make the correction.

Who will do the succession planning, carrier course planning etc? The Vandoos in Valc? Somewhere and not a CT for a plt) you need someone to do taht. You need a proper unit setup.

    Army Reserve Restructuring

I can and I know some who could do it. Not all but some.

    Army Reserve Restructuring

If you do that, you’ll kill retention. Not all but some can do the job. Don’t under estimate the power of possibility for advancement. If it’s practical why not. ARes can’t always have wall to wall solutions. It need to be aligned based on each Div. I agree, nothing of that will happened...

    Army Reserve Restructuring

When I talk about units, I talk 600 ish, not current states. Current state is like you said, ridiculus. ARes RIC or RCAC could be logically decentralised sub-unit. Can it be 2 sqns for the RCAC vs 3 for the RCAC, why not. The point is that if you decentralize the sub-unit by absorbing...

    Army Reserve Restructuring

That's a good point. I my view, we would need more so instead of closing units, rebadging and reroling them might be a better solution. The ARes Armoured Corps also need to be decentralized IOT have a bigger pool for succession planning. Where there's to much inf regt, reroling mignt be a...

    Army Reserve Restructuring

The British have done it for years/century and they are ok, I think. We are stuck harden ciment. Of course it will hurt but what's the point of having a regiment which is unable to produce is own CO or RSM. There 2 other units that are commanded by ex-CO of my Regiment. It took us almost 20...

    Army Reserve Restructuring

The majority think the system is broken. Emotionally they would close the weaker unit but amalgamation is acceptable for most.

    Army Reserve Restructuring

I would say mine but you have to do it based on the unit health. They are at further west, 3-4 k. Maybe 😜! They were the 14th🙃

    Army Reserve Restructuring

Not necessarily. There’s 3 regiments in W Div with 2-3 coy in different municipalities. One cap badge, 3 different locations. Yes, there’s one of the unit that have a coy the other side of the Saint-Laurence so it’s the example not to follow.

They can be usefull. It's like everything, it depends who they are.

    Army Reserve Restructuring

We don’t wear it that much in garrison 😜 and it create bad discussion during succession planning. The last thing we need is that endless whataboutism discussion on the last RSM was this or that cap badge. It’s already not easy, help ourselves, just a thinny bit, please 🙃🙃

    Army Reserve Restructuring

I agree with the 30/70 concept. What I'm saying is that there's to many cap badge. It's should all be the same regiment. In the same location but one cap badge. It was meant and planned to fail. an empty bn on paper with no real task. They were really a parking for extra offr-WO/NCO's...
