It is very useful for the time being. It is limited to how far or in it can go in or near a potential war zone So even in that it limits where Canadian interests lie. I don’t believe Asterix will last the JSS program because manning the ships with Canadian sailors is unlikely because thwy’ll be...
I’m new here and i know I’ve beaten this issue to frickin’ death. It can do dry stores. If you have something to add other than that, please add it.
More people love Davie and Asterix than i could have ever imagined.
I wouldn’t. I found the article above informative. Lots of options to get a single aisle up in the air more quickly. Boeing is a few steps behind and did it to themselves.
Also, i don’t think the current government is looking for More than mpa. Beyond what that means it don’t know. But it...

I’m replying to many of you at once. Had Boeing gotten of their butts and made a 797 to replace the 737 doors would have been covering the wheels, and doors for landing hear would be much lighter. Landing gear would likely been lighter. Boeing likely to lose the short haul because...
I am poking fun at Boeing for an obvious aerodynamic loss not rectified over 55 years.
Rule for me is if i don’t make sense it’s because I’m attempting to be funny or because i have aphasia due to stroke.
In the navy, we have to make allowance not only for new weapons, but for computers. Realstic you can’t have enough computer power. And to have computer power you need power and both need cooling.
Computing gets smaller but also gets more dense and hotter. And because there is more room in the...
No. Did you see Inside recently?
My research was based on a lot of wiki surfing and the following document that documents the parts upgrades over time.
http://jproc.ca/rrp/rrp3/cp140_electronics.html
It probably looks pretty janky inside because the plane was not around those systems.
It strikes me that in someways that the P8 would be a side grade. Also, the P8 might have upgrade problems. It is so full of electronics that the thing doesn’t have doors for the landing gear. Would be nice for our current plane to carry some anti-shipping missiles though.
I agree. Once the JSS program is complete, the government won’t give that a second look. Hopefully the government realize that icebreaking opvs on the west coast are absolutely ridiculous.
I’m glad we are still worshipping Davie. We didn’t buy either because they didn’t meet our specifications. It could gas up ships, but that’s it. No carrying anything invlding ammunition, vehicles etc etc. No CBRN. No warship things like fire suppression, 2 drivelines. No battleship and...
Me too.
As soon as the F-35 goes ioc, the Air Force should start realistic planning for what comes next. That many not be possible and likely won’t happen. This is military procurement.
It’s is never a simple matter of altering one countries specs Might as well build a new ship. Davie is really still selling its high margin Federal fleet, and not even canada is buying I don’t know why some people worship them.
Also 1bn is lifetime cost. The GLOBaM author is willfully...
I don’t know. That would be odd for a Government to release, but you could ask under a FOI Might be quashed. Like I said, we only know full life costs.
the quality of davie’s product is unknown to me, though they are overselling it. The GoC cannot insure any employee of Federal to be In any potential war zone.
I’m sure that Davie’s costs haven’t gone up. We don’t have through life costs to operate because we don’t own it.
I can’t F’ing...
Commercial standards vice military. Also check out the Tide class.
Seaspan is probably struggling welding H80 or 100. They probably need some yard upgrades to weld large pieces of armour using machines.
