RMC Admission Requirements for Current University Students

So it's been a while since I posted this, just thought i'd share what I've learned since for anyone in a similar situation. Since I am already in Civilian University, my application was allowed to continue processing as a ROTP CivU Applicant. However, I received much higher grades in university...

    Medical waiting

Lots of threads where this is discussed already. However, It varies for everyone, and also depends on which recruiting center you are applying through among other factors. Personally, it was just over a month between my CFAT and my medical for reference. Cheers. Good luck.

Yeah, I call every 2 weeks. Just called this Tuesday and told still waiting for RMO approval. Just hoping I finish everything in time to make the competition list for this year's selections.

Ah man, I did CFAST early December as well, but still haven't heard anything about going to CFEME. I asked about it and just was told I'm still waiting for RMO approval. I wonder what's holding it up so much.

How long did your approval from RMO take before getting sent to CFEME? I did aircrew selections in December and still waiting to go to CFEME. Mind you, I had to redo some of the family doctors letters so I'm guessing that pushed me back another few weeks.

Check out this site for lots of advice on the tests. RAF CBAT TMI Obviously this one is for the Royal Airforce but extremely similar to what RCAF applicants undergo. Also this post on Reddit, the first comment has a whole list of practice resources. I go to Trenton in a few days, so we will...

    CFAT Problem solving

It's been a while since I finished highschool, so I had to brush up on a lot of things. But mainly long division, ratios and geometry. I also reviewed algebra and systems of equations. Basically, I did all the unit tests to see what I was was lacking on, then focused on that.

This has been dogpiled on but what are my chances for getting into the ROTP?

So here's what Ive learned so far from being in a similar boat. For RMC you HAVE TO meet the grade requirements specified on the website. If you don't, you'll get rejected. On your application it will specify (ROTP-RMC) or (ROTP-CIVU) make sure you call the recruiting center to make sure they...

I was rejected for ROTP, now what?

I agree to be honest. I'm already in first year university and I have no desire to join under an NCM trade. I'm going for pilot for sure, even if it takes extra time or what not. I currently have a 4.0 gpa, and I'm confident I can maintain it. I'm going Civy U ROTP route, and they have told...

Thanks for the reply. However I just changed my application over to Civi U ROTP and we are carrying on with my application that way. I'm on my way to medical next week.

It's Because I didn't get accepted into RMC for the year. My grades were right on the line of what's accepted + no pilot slots left for the year. Guess I wasn't a very competitive applicant at this point. Hopefully the CIVI U ROTP route works out for me though, as I am currently enrolled in...

Definitely varies. I was notified a week after passing my CFAT that I wasn't eligible for ROTP. So yes it's possible for them to deny you before medical and interview, and if that's the case your application will be put on hold. I resubmitted specifying that I want CIVI ROTP and now just...

Just curious, did you specifically ask for Civi U ROTP? I got an email saying I was rejected from ROTP, but when I called they said that was just for RMC and I'm still eligible for CivilianUni ROTP. Lots of people have said something along the lines of "If you got rejected from RMC, you got...

I dressed "smart causal" I'd say. Dress for success but don't stress it too hard. There was everything from a guy in a full suit and tie all the way to people with sweat pants and baggy hoodie. They did not check credit score or history on exam day
