That is true, but when people go to the college for a tour they usually like to hear about life at RMC, not IAP or the recruiting process. Also, 4th years run FYOP so they know what it's all about. 4th years aren't in the "fog of war" like the first years are so they can give more information...
4th years have been there for 4 years and therefore, know the most out of anyone about the college. They also know what its like to be a 4th year vs being a first year. They can give a much more detailed answer to any question.
Where in Florida will you be? I'll be in Homestead (1 hour south of Miami) in 2 weeks. I'll be there until March 3rd with the squadron. Just like you said, nothing like OJT!
Well from last I heard, MARS is in need of personnel so it is an area where they need to recruit. If it was a smaller trade like INT and you were only joining if you got it then I wouldn't hold my breath. But with MARS I would go for it. Go to the recruiting centre and apply. Good Luck.
Allie, What trades are looking at going into and what academic program are you looking at studying in? These are important factors to consider as it may affect your chances of getting in or getting what you want.
When I was there I had one friend who jumped to third year after first year and graduated in only 3 years rather than 4, although he did have 2 years of civi U completed. However, I also had another friend who had previously done 2 years at a civi U and had to do all 4 years at RMC. Some of his...
I suppose you could practice with a flight sim and yoke but I wouldn't go overboard for it. As well, there is no need to study met or aerodynamics for Aircrew Selection. That is just a waste of time as none of that stuff is tested. Math might be tested for the Nav test but nothing that anyone...
Yes there are inpsections on botp and if you have a chit you can do anything that it says. Just go to the doctor and tell them you want these vibram soles and he will mark it on your chit. Gravy.
I`m fully aware of that. The good thing is that I want TacHel anyways so hopefully that wait for me won`t be too bad after wings. Besides if the wait is no more than a year then its just gravy compared to this 19 month wait.
Inch, are you eastcoast or westcoast?
I didn't realize that CEOTP was still open. But thats good if it is.
I have to say, I think its really funny when recruiters are saying that the Air Force is looking for pilots cause they are low on numbers when there are about 200 untrained pilots in the system waiting for our wings.
I agree with Kincanucks...when I had my interview she stumped me on the occupation questions I had no idea what to expect going into it because I didn't have this fancy website. I would also like to add that you should know everything about yourself. I know it may sound dumb, but they will ask...
hmmm...you`re right about that. But I definitely was NOT talking about "hiding" information from the recruiters. I was talking about the course staff. Although I don`t see the course staff being the problem so much as the other course mates.
