    FORCE fitness test?

The EXPRES and FORCE tests are both absurdly low (rightly called minimal) standards of physical fitness. If you want to wear a uniform of an organization that publicly states that it requires physical fitness of its members, then you should publicly appear to satisfy that requirement, at least...

    Regular Officer Training Plan (ROTP)-RMC 2000 - 2018 [Merged]

I have no idea how this was a response to my post, but what do I know? Trust me when I say that your high school time management skills will need an upgrade (which you'll get during FYOP  >:D ) in order to balance varsity commitments, academics, physical fitness (no, not necessarily synonymous...

    Regular Officer Training Plan (ROTP)-RMC 2000 - 2018 [Merged]

Varsity sports = ~2 hrs a day + some weekends Intramural sports = ~2 hrs a week. Committing to a varsity team is a much bigger commitment than simply playing intramural sports. Just saying.

    Regular Officer Training Plan (ROTP)-RMC 2000 - 2018 [Merged]

You will want to have your application submitted as soon as humanly possible.  If you wait until the deadline (whenever it is), you run the risk of being negatively impacted by potential delays (medical issues, scheduling issues, potential administrative errors on the part of you or the CF...

ROTP at Civilian University 2004 - 2018 [Merged]

If that's actually true, then write it down.  I know a guy who put that on his application a few years ago and, if I'm not mistaken, he's still at RMC, finishing up this year or next.  So that shows you how seriously they took it. If the possibility of having to attend RMC for 4 years is enough...

ROTP at Civilian University 2004 - 2018 [Merged]

Can you confirm whether psychology or business admin are compatible? I thought they were, and both are offered at RMC.

ROTP at Civilian University 2004 - 2018 [Merged]

Is the compatible degree list for MPO changing this year? To be clear, RMC has had MPO candidates in the very recent past, and may even have one or two right now.

ROTP at Civilian University 2004 - 2018 [Merged]

This whole post is terrible. Pretty much speaks for itself, in terms of your expertise on the matter at hand. Although excessively dramatic, there is a grain of truth here.  If you're not in a MOSID that you'll enjoy, the hardship simply won't be worth it. You got there in early August and...

    Regular Officer Training Plan (ROTP)-RMC 2000 - 2018 [Merged]

Did I miss something?  Unless the OP edited their post, I don't think they ever mentioned trying to get paid to sit around- instead, they made the very reasonable point that graduating early could contribute to a more effective use of the CF's time by employing them in occupational training...

    Regular Officer Training Plan (ROTP)-RMC 2000 - 2018 [Merged]

Why not lead by example?  Mine was low 80's, and I do just fine at RMC.

    Bringing my spouse with me?

If the Forces recognize you as a legal Common-law couple, than you'll be treated like a married couple.  Contact the CFRC to confirm that you meet eligibility requirements, and whether or not there is any paperwork you need to fill out.  Make sure, if and when you enroll, that your initial...

    Regular Officer Training Plan (ROTP)-RMC 2000 - 2018 [Merged]

I might be crazy, but I definitely missed the part where EastCoastKid mentioned either renegotiating or declining the offer. It seems like a simple status update.  Congratulations, EastCoastKid, on getting an offer for RMC.  Do whatever the hell you want with it.

    Grade 10 History Essay

The formation of the League of Nations is an event, and it's important because it failed to effectively keep peace.  The UN came after WWII and has arguably been much more effective (at least in that sense).

    Grade 10 History Essay

Cyprus. 1900-1930 you could write about how the League of Nations failed to implement effective peacekeeping (hence WWII) and therefore left a void, which Canada could later fill, requiring effective peacekeeping. Good luck.

Common Law Marriage in the Canadian Forces - Mega Thread

What do you mean by official?  Do you mean a request to live off campus?  Or the request to be recognized as common law? To the OP, I know you said that requests to live off are never granted at RMC anymore; did you guys submit one?

    Regular Officer Training Plan (ROTP)-RMC 2000 - 2018 [Merged]

This thread should be locked until July, when everyone knows where they are going.  All that happens here is baseless speculation, ridiculous questioning, and first-time posters coming on to brag that they got in, but didn't feel like posting all year with their peers who were discussing the...

    Recruiting-Blood Test.

Certain occupations (Aircrew at least) require blood tests. Q1. No idea. Q2. Walk-in medical clinic with a lab?  Plenty of those around. Q3. Probably a medical officer, but I'm not positive.

    BMQ Reserves 2010 - 2017

I know very little about reserve training...but on Reg Force BMQ....candidates sleep outside in hoochies.  Is this not the same on Reserve BMQ? EDIT to add: I guess my point is that it can be done DURING BMQ, but not after?

Common Law Marriage in the Canadian Forces - Mega Thread

It isn't very common for these requests to be granted at RMC.

CEOTP (Continuing Ed Officer Trg Plan) 2003-2018 [Merged]

I believe his first language is French, which explains some of the justifiable language issues.  Capitalization and grammar though...you would think those would be simple enough.
