It is correct that the age is now 17. However I would still reccomend trying, for me they still processed me while I was 16 but I was not able to swear in until I turned 17. I can't guarantee it will happen, but its worth a try. C.G.R

The fact that you claim your generation had a much better grasp on the need for education, when you could still get a decent job without a highschool diploma. This is no longer the case, and the current generation is well aware that education has never been as necessary as it is now.

I find that hard to believe. That may be the case in Alberta, but I know in Ontario it is not. Years ago you could get a decent job without even completing highschool, now with just a high school diploma you are hard pressed to get anything better than a minimum wage job.

And when you were in highschool what did your teachers think of your generation? I'd imagine that  they had a similar opinion.

Personally, I would not stay with my girlfriend if she did not support me in being in the CF, or in addition, anything that I am that passionate about. She knows this, but luckily for me she is supportive and I am supportive of her.

I'd be careful about switching your file to a different recruiting centre, you may be creating work just to end up in the same spot.

All of the processing is done at the recruiting centre. They just will not start the process without the letter from your desired unit stating that they have an avail position for you. C.G.R

Bringing your parents to ask the recruiter questions with you, may help sway them into giving their consent. The recruiter will be able to explain the benefits of being in the CF better than you. Rather then just bringing them when it is time for them to sign.

A simple answer, is more training.

To my understanding you are not allowed another job. The reason they give you an allowance is so that your schooling is your job and it is all you need to focus on. Plus in the summers you will be working full time doing your training.

Try getting one from teachers, volunteer supervisors etc. Avoid family because they want a non biased opinion. Their purpose is to let the recruiters know that you are the type of person that is suitable for a career in the CF. With this being said, it should talk about your strengths, how you...
