Exactly my point.  This was undoubtedly a probe for a subsequent attack.  They look for spots where soldiers don't follow their ROE's strictly, or hesitate.  That soldier who opened fire probably saved a lot of coalition, and Canadian, lives. I'd like to see a reporter look at it from that angle.
