Are 404’s mandatory to obtain if you’re in a non-driving trade?
I was told by a PO2, along with a handful of others on my deployment, that I don’t have to get them, but then the MS at the home unit says the CO is ordering the whole unit to get them. I get an order is an order, but I’ve been...
Just got my ROTP notice with the link and additional info. I am now official applying to RMC.
For future notice those of you doing a CT (ie: currently in reserves) with the entry plan ROTP selected, make sure you constantly email Ottawa (you’ll receive the email address in the CT receipt) until...
I’m in the same boat dude. I’ve emailed the D MIL C people numerous times only to tell me we’ll get back to you when we hear more info on ROTP. Problem is ROTP 20-21 was supposed to start Sept 1st. It’s ridiculous that I haven’t heard anything. My latest email to D MIL C is I asked if they...
In 2013 I applied for ROTP and when I did I received paperwork that asked me a few questions about hobbies and such along with post secondary info. Basically, it was a sell yourself to RMC type of paperwork. I was unsuccessful and am now in the reserves. I’ve recently put in for a CT and one of...
Good day everyone,
I’ll try and keep this short and simple. I’m just wondering if anyone applying for ROTP 20-21 has received their ROTP paper work. I was told Sept. 1 was when they’d release the documents and begin processing applicants. I haven’t received any news yet other than “Capt so and...
Hi, I was wondering if someone could tell me what the conditions are like in the Work Point Barracks in CFB Esquimalt. I will be staying there for my next contract.
Good day everyone,
I was hoping to call upon the experience of the senior members in this forum and the others who are or may have been in the same situation as I. Around this time last year I was told by the dentist that I will need to have all four of my wisdom teeth removed. Normally I would...
It’s weird. One of my friends was turned away by the OR a couple months ago for having a beard. Just yesterday I was given a talking too about my beard when I went in to do some admin.
Last summer I was in the OR and got caught in the middle of someone getting jacked up and strolled in with...
Based on the title of the post this will be a shaving question. Specifically geared towards those who cannot grow a proper beard in accordance to the standards of the new beard policy.
What I’ve noticed at my reserve unit (specifically the clerks) is if you’re off duty or on leave and need to...
I get that PAT Platoon sucks, but if you really wanted the trade/job than they wouldn't quit (barring any personal or other issues that arise that would give you no choice but to step away or release). That's just my view, but I get where you're coming from.
That's unfortunate that there are so little AESOP's being recruited and graduating.
Is the issue that people aren't applying for this particular trade or there is not enough serial's being run? Or both?
Why not? In theory couldn't you stick whoever's left of the 45 on PAT and they wait for...
I was glad someone asked that question. It's too bad that they wouldn't make the CT process quicker for those looking to get into aircrew trades. One of the trades on my CT that I've applied for is AESOP. One can only hope if that were true....
I don't think I'm at that stage right now. The only person I've spoken to about this at my unit is the guy who works under the TrgO and he informed me that I don't get a choice in a where the Navy goes even if I were to do everything you've indicated above. When I'm ready and available I'll...
boot12,
In your experience is it just Boatswains with QL5 go on deployments, or were you just using that as an example? I was hoping to complete my package(s) (QL4 and NETP) on a deployment. That way I might be able to get a medal and a promotion out of it. That aside, I get where you're coming...
