We were informed last night, that we would be trained in 2 weeks, and that we should have our vests very soon after that since they've been sitting down in the supply room for a few weeks waiting for us. Our unit is pretty excitied..lol

We had a bit of a briefing on the R291 trade, and they were looking for people to switch trades. We were told that if you were to change trades now, you would be able to keep your rank? I know some of our Mcpls were looking into it. Any one else heard about this? -KaT

I would give you some, but they aren't really of Shilo persay...and kinda inappropriate. lol Shilo isn't to bad. It was cold during the summer, snow some days, but we had a good time. And it's even better when you go back as staff....good times there...lol

Yeah, when Sunday morning came around, certain groups were allowed to use pyro again, just not flares I believe...It took a lot of convincing of Range Control to let that happen though...

I was ExCon for the Exercise Iron Talon that was out there. It was a pretty incredible fire.  2 grid squares completely gone. One of our platoons was evacuated for a few hours.

Those damn gophers are impossible to run over you know!! We tried to see if we could hit them, it was like the goal of the summer...no one could, not one person!
