thats one of the reasons I joined the ARes, pension sure its not great compared to the reg force plan but its something for someone who worked in the service industry getting nothing

Armour school west just makes sense, if 1 CMBG is going to be heavy cav with two Tank battalions, but the rest will be MCAV, having a school just for tanks in suffield or wainwright makes logical sense, why would we send people to learn tanks in gagetown if they are all in edmonton?

With the new reorg now public, thre will be the return of division level CSS in the form of a log battalion and a maint battalion. Given the training backlog I can only imagine it will be a long time before its actually up and running (if it ever does) but if it does happen a division...
I've also read the Res force battleschools at the CBGs will see an increase in manning and scope which should allow more DP1 courses held locally by the CBGs. Already my unit is working on a DP1.3 Weapons course proposal, approved by the school, waiting on CO and Div approval, once implemented...
If the army continues to see an increase in class C reservists like we are due to DOMOPs, and more overseas commitment by the reserves, we really need to invest in a proper transition from the Reserve pay system to the Regular force pay system. We have issues every year that due to switching pay...
K2 would only be about 12 months according to the Koreans. So not a huge wait at all, and given the massive unsolicited package they offered in March, if we did go with k2, there would likely be a lot of jobs gained here
